Bob Nash
"Papa" Bob Nash started playing drums for Hometown Band the day of an Oktoberfest show in 2002, having never touched a drum before.
He now plays percussion (including timpani, drums, cymbals and chimes) for the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra, Farragut Brass Band,
Olympic College and Leavenworth's Bayern band Musikkapelle. Bob plays drums and sings in the big band group Rude and Unprofessional.
Along with Todd Erler, he sings and plays guitar and bodhran in the Celtic duo Rye and Barley. Additionally, Bob has played more than
20 shows in the orchestra pit for Ovation, Bainbridge Performing Arts and CSTOCK theatre groups.
Bob is a retired Naval Officer whose last command was the USS NIMITZ here in Bremerton. He presently works on Bainbridge Island maintaining
computer systems and running TV broadcasts for the B.I. school district. Bob is married to Clarice Nash a fellow Hometown Band and "Rude"
member. Clarice has played for The Hometown Band for several more years than Bob and it was she that asked him to play for that first
Oktoberfest show thus starting his percussion career.
Besides playing music Bob enjoys any kind of fishing.
