How to Join The Band


Thinking you'd like to join us? Come to a rehearsal and give us a try!

We don't have any formal requirements or qualifications and we don't require an audition. It might help if you've been in some sort of a band before and can read music.

The band wears four different uniforms during the year. We have a dressy uniform, an Hawaiian/casual uniform, an Oktoberfest uniform and an holiday uniform.


standard winter dress uniform:

For the gentlemen: black dress shoes; black socks; long black pants; white shirt (long or short sleeve); red bow tie and suspenders (both available from Sears); if you must wear a hat there is a band baseball cap style hat available.
For the ladies: dressy black shoes; no, black or neutral stockings; long black pants or modest length skirt; white shirt or blouse (long or short sleeve); red accent (scarf, jewelry etc.); if you must wear a hat there is a band baseball cap style hat available.

standard summer dress uniform:

For the gentlemen: brown dress shoes if long pants, tan sandles if shorts; white or no socks; long or short tan, brown or khaki pants; white shirt (long or short sleeve); red bow tie and suspenders (both available from Sears); any tasteful hat, there is a band baseball cap style hat available.
For the ladies: dressy brown shoes or sandles; no or neutral stockings; tan, brown or khaki long or short pants, or modest length skirt; white shirt or blouse (long or short sleeve); red accent (scarf, jewelry etc.); any tasteful hat, there is a band baseball cap style hat available.

casual summer uniform:

For the ladies:casual shoes optional; socks optional; tan (khaki to light brown) pants (long or short) or skirt, or muumuu; Hawaiian shirt; hat optional.
For the gentlemen: casual shoes optional; socks optional; tan (khaki to light brown) pants (long or short); Hawaiian shirt; hat optional.

Oktoberfest uniform:

For both ladies and gentlemen: Ethnic German clothing in any tasteful style. If not available standard dress uniform.
